We recently discussed this Bible story with some friends and it really made me stop and ponder it some more the next day while I was washing dishes. I really think its such an encouraging story. (Exodus 2)
Its more than just about what happens to the baby Moses. It can be even more about his Mother.
Consider how she had been told: " This is the way it will happen.. Someone will soon come and kill your child". I can only imagine her response crying out to God.. "No! God this is not Your plan! What can I do?!" She tried to hide him for some time but couldnt any longer.
She was desperate for a miracle and just like that He dropped into her spirit: Place him in a basket and send him off.
She chose to trust Him. She did as she felt led.. and what happened next..?
The princess was out at the water at the right moment and scooped him up. She knew he was a hebrew child meant to be killed, but she held him close instead. So she kept him safe... Right under the nose of Pharaoh who had ordered him to be killed.
But thats not it.. they soon welcomed Moses' own mother into the castle to help nurse and care for him!!!
Talk about setting up a table for us in the presence of our enemies!!! ♡
God delivered in the most miraculous way. He can do this for us too. Don't let fear overtake you. Dont let others tell you what is going to happen. Talk to God, and step out in faith as He leads you...
He still works miracles ♡
